• I have a house. it’s the house of my heart. many little clouds fill this house. Sometimes I bawl sometimes I chuckle, it
depends. There is a fireplace reflecting you. If I add some more, it would be a candle. But for now the fireplace is cold,
otherwise my heart aches. When I light it again, it won’t be for the you. The walls have ears and I’m convey words which you
can’t see. All this ends in commas and ah’s. The attic is empty but little volcanoes gravitate on the clouds, they are the ones
that make the house swell with heat, anguish and light. I have nothing to add, I would like to finish it and wrap it up. To wrap
it up like you enveloped me up for long nights, during sunsets in this city of lights. I am in the city of grey, of sky, of concrete,
of noise, of sound. And it is on this grey that I resurrect my heart. On this yellow, this beige, this black, this white. I roll my
heart in the grey. I build a house with a giant attic, in an even bigger house, in a huge city, with my heart emptied of you.
Where do you start building a house? From the interior, with words, cries, laughter, the walls covered with laughter, the
carpet, the dust is already there when the framework is installed, the fireplace comes to rest, reassuring, independent. It’s
windy outside, sheets bellow.
Entering from the left, words are said. Inside it’s smoky and hissing comes from the fireplace. On its sill photographs, and
above that, an entrance to the attic. The roof spins. Roofing to the A. This line of laughter fills the space to each corner of the
house, where the flying shape, a giant comma, presupposes the closing chapter, the corners of the house, the final point, the onomatopoeia «ah».
Ici, là et maintenant, is an installation in part created during my residency at the Atelier Téméraire, in Brest in July 2021, and
finalised at the Atelier Wonder.
This work was created through the shadowing of text, a writing process pushed beyond communication. This line of AAA
sacrifices its legibility for the benefit of the overall image
“ No difference, except the context, between the indecipherable and the indecipherable ” Roland Barthes. By making a language that is unknown to all, one can build a language that is ineffable, but visible. Not understanding the
reading from left to right at first, allows to go beyond the relationship one has with one’s own writing. Go beyond sharing,
beyond the expressible, to envisage a thought, a bubble, a cloud of warm resistance.
Ineffable – beyond language
Inexpressible- what cannot be said
